HeadSmart Media was introduced to Jacksonheim Boutique through a mutual associate at a BNI networking group. BNI is a business networking organization that helps members increase their business through a structured, positive, and professional "word-of-mouth" program that enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with quality business professionals.
Unfortunately, Corin's website had been hacked due to negligence by the previous developer.
We quickly applied a temporary fix, to get the site up and running again, and got to work rebuilding the site.
We opted to go for a complete overhaul of the entire site, to make sure there were no remnants of the malware left behind, and also decided it was best to build the theme from scratch, as the commercial theme the site was built on had very patchy updates, and lots of bloatware.
The commercial theme the website had been built on had multiple custom functionalities, animations and styles, which we recreated using our barebones solutions, improving access for future development, and massively decluttering the dashboard.
As Jacksonheim grew, so did the website's requirements, so we built out a comprehensive backend system, which allowed for incredible inter-site linking and dynamic data usage.
In plain English, this meant that adding a single property updated the website everywhere, with new data showing throughout the site where appropriate.
Where once, the website administrators would have to spend hours ensuring details had been updated everywhere (a difficult process to get right over and over again for a complex site, especially as a business grows) now a simple change to a single property or company detail meant dynamic and dependable updates across the entire site.
Without this improvement, website administration may have become a bottleneck for the business, which no well-designed website should ever be.
